18a) Go to bed early. Strange things happen if you're not well rested.
44) Accept complements, accept criticism. if you can't process either at the moment, don't. just keep going.

16th st dry cleaning and alterations
after looking at so many overwrought mission storefront hooshes, this struck me as delightfully utilitarian.

Suggested Modification to Rules by John Cage
# 6 > FOLLOW THE LEADER. Nothing is a mistake. There is no win and no fail. There is only make.
#6 alternate:
SHARE BEING A LEADER. Nothing is a mistake. There is no win and no fail. There is only ACTION AND ACTANT.
#9: Be happy wherever you can manage it. Enjoy yourself. It is lighter than you think.
#9 alternate:
Be happy wherever you can manage it. Enjoy yourself. Laughter lightens more than you think.

play
in Amsterdam, we went into two stores who were renting for short bursts. One sold ceramics from Portugal and was in that location for only one month. The other was an events stager who's shop bust with joy, enthusiasm and play. Wonder if here in San Francisco this is happening? Sort of odd to enter two shops exercising this practice within a two hour period of exploring between the canals.

Wow. Im just rocking these posts here at 11pm...
I think I just came across another word for Hoosh while geeking out online...
Meraki (Greek word)
"This is a word modern Greeks use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love - when you put something of yourself into what you're doing. Whatever you're doing no matter how trivial. Meraki is often used to describe preparing a meal, arranging a room, choosing decorations, or setting an elegant table"

A few words...
in⋅ter⋅de⋅pend⋅ent: mutually dependent; depending on each other
Interdependent is a favorite of mine....And in order to add some of my own flavoring to the assignment, here are some words that don't exist in English...I hope these are relevant and helpful....
conmocion (n. Spanish) a shared feeling, knowledge, or emotion felt by an entire group.
ostranenie (v. Russian) "is the artistic technique of forcing the audience to see common things in an unfamiliar or strange way, in order to enhance perception of the familiar"
zwischenraum (n. German) the space between things.
